Wie viele Geschwister, die f\u00fcr Gott und f\u00fcr uns h\u00e4tten zur\u00fcckgewonnen werden k\u00f6nnen, sind uns f\u00fcr immer entfremdet worden, weil wir blo\u00df auf ihr Gewissen eingeh\u00e4mmert und nicht ihr Herz gewonnen haben &#8211; weil wir uns um ihr Herz, m\u00f6chte ich sagen, fast gar nicht bem\u00fcht haben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wir haben das B\u00f6se nicht \u00fcberwunden, weil wir es nicht mit dem Guten \u00fcberwunden haben. Wir haben bereitwillig den Stuhl des Richters eingenommen und haben unsererseits Gericht empfangen, aber das dem\u00fctige Werk des \u201e<strong>Lehrers<\/strong>\u201c (Johannes 13:14) haben wir wenig getan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wie wenig verstehen wir immer noch, dass ein blo\u00dfes Handeln nach Gerechtigkeit &#8211; so v\u00f6llig gerecht es auch sein mag &#8211; nicht die Wiederherstellung von Seelen bewirkt. Das Gericht, auch wenn es noch so gem\u00e4\u00dfigt und richtig ist, wird die Herzen, deren schlechter Zustand vor Gott ja gerade durch die Tatsachen des Falles zutage getreten ist, weder beeindrucken noch erweichen noch bereit machen, Unterweisung anzunehmen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Mensch ist nicht nur Gewissen; und wenn das Gewissen ohne das Herz erreicht wird, wird es dasselbe tun, was es mit dem ersten S\u00fcnder unter den Menschen tat: ihn wegtreiben unter die B\u00e4ume des Gartens, um der unwillkommenen Stimme zu entfliehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
