Doch vor allem dann, wenn wir schuldig geworden sind, haben wir die Gnade Gottes besonders n\u00f6tig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das wird an der Geschichte von K\u00f6nig David deutlich. Gott hatte ihn dazu ausersehen, sein Volk Israel zu regieren. Schon als junger Mann wurde David durch seinen erstaunlichen Sieg im Kampf gegen den Riesen Goliath ber\u00fchmt. Aber der Weg zum K\u00f6nigsthron sollte f\u00fcr David sehr lang und steinig werden, weil der noch amtierende K\u00f6nig Saul ihm jahrelang nachstellte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Als Herrscher f\u00fchrte David dann seine Armee in vielen Schlachten mutig an. Doch einmal verlie\u00df er sich bei einem Feldzug auf seinen bew\u00e4hrten General Joab und blieb selbst in Jerusalem. W\u00e4hrend Joab an der Front k\u00e4mpfte und dann auch siegte, erlitt David die vielleicht schwerste Niederlage seines Lebens: Vom Dach seines Palastes beobachtete er die Frau eines seiner Soldaten beim Baden. Er lie\u00df sie zu sich holen und schlief mit ihr. Danach versuchte er vergeblich, den Ehebruch zu vertuschen \u2013 bis er schlie\u00dflich den betrogenen Ehemann in den Tod schickte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">David nahm einem gl\u00fccklichen Ehemann das Leben, einer Frau ihren geliebten Mann, seiner Armee einen \u00e4u\u00dferst tapferen Soldaten und sich selbst die Freude der ungetr\u00fcbten Gemeinschaft mit Gott. Doch Gott erwies ihm Gnade: Er schickte den Propheten Nathan zu David, damit der ihm seine Schuld bewusst machte. David kam zur Besinnung, erkannte seine Schuld, bereute und bekannte vor Gott.
